Our New Table

I build a farm house table with the help of a friend. I bought the legs off of craigslist. The top is made from 2x6, 1x6, and the bottom trim is made from 2x2 and 1x2. I stained it with a Dark Walnut Stain+Poly. I sanded and painted the legs with a creamy white color. Not sure the name of the paint.

Pocket jigs and some scrap MDF were used to put the top together. It is heavy but seems to be really sturdy.

Pallet Wood Headboard

Simple Pallet Wood Headboard made from 2x6, 2x4 and scrap pallet wood.

I used pocket holes to build the frame.

I nailed the pallet wood to the frame. This is pre-sanding and staining.

This is what it looked like after 2 coats of Dark Walnut Poly+Stain was applied. The dimensions are roughly 48" high and 81" long. It is for a King size bed. It was built for my Sister-In-Law so once her room is completely remodeled I will most a picture of it with a bed attached.
